Driver Training at Eastern Creek Raceway

Based at Eastern Creek International Raceway, the Eastern Creek Driver Training Centre offers a variety of advanced driver training courses. All courses are held on the largest vehicle manoeuvring area in Sydney, which is made from polished concrete to ensure no wear and tear to vehicles and is environmentally friendly, relying on recycled dam water.

Eastern Creek Driver Training is a one day driving experience designed to develop participant’s defensive driving skills and highlight driver awareness.

 

Advanced Driving Course – STAGE 2

Eastern Creek Driver Training has created a STAGE 2 one day SKID and CAR CONTROL course for drivers who have completed the Stage 1 Defensive Driver Training program or a similar starters school.

The course is suitable for L-plate and P-plate drivers along with fully licenced motorists wishing to acquire additional defensive driving skills using their own vehicle.

Eastern Creek Driver Training is conducted by qualified instructors with one instructor per four students.

Theory sessions are held in a comfortable air-conditioned lecture room. Driving activity is at suburban road speeds in a controlled environment on Sydney’s largest skid pan.

Courses commence with sign on at 8.45 am and conclude at 4.00 pm.

IN THE CLASS ROOM…
Road Rules / Manners / Attitude, Dangers of tailgating, Vehicle Care, Alcohol / Drugs / Fatigue, In Car Safety, Driving Position, Accident Costs to the Community, Awareness / Anticipation / Actions.

ON THE SKID PAN…
Speed and stopping distances, Looking Ahead, Emergency Braking, Brake and Swerve, Understanding ABS Brakes, Mirrors and Vision, Lane Changing, Cornering, Skid Control.

INVESTING IN SAFETY  -  Stage 1 $255.00 Inc. GST

Participants must have a learner’s permit or driving licence and use their own vehicle. Two drivers may share one car. Gift Vouchers are available.

The STAGE 2 SKID and SLIDE CAR CONTROL course is designed for drivers wishing to further develop their driving knowledge and skill using their own vehicle.

STAGE 2 is conducted on the Eastern Creek Driver Training skid pan and skid circuit.

Students are taught how to manage loss of control situations through repetitious practice along with minimal theory sessions.

Instruction focuses on the three loss of control situations:

  • UNDERSTEER (front wheel skid)

  • OVERSTEER (rear wheel skid)

  • FOUR WHEEL SLIDE

Conducted in a relaxed environment the STAGE 2 SKID and CAR CONTROL course is entertaining and fun. With one instructor to four students drivers gain a better understanding of their vehicle and how to manage everyday circumstances and avoid dangerous situations.

STAGE 2 is suitable for fully licenced motorists wishing to acquire additional defensive driving skills.

Eastern Creek Driver Training is conducted by qualified instructors with one instructor per four students. SPECIAL ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO STUDENTS WITH FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES.

ON THE SKID CIRCUIT…
Learn car control in a realistic safe environment on a 400metre road that incorporates a variety of twists turns and corners using Understeer, Oversteer and Four Wheel Slide.

INVESTING IN SAFETY - Stage 2. $300.00 Incl. GST

Participants must have a drivers licence and use their own vehicle. Two drivers may share one car. Gift Vouchers available.
