Eastern Creek Celebrates 50 Years of Aussie Racing Muscle
This Father's Day

Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway will once again play host to Australia's largest gathering of racing muscle cars from as early as the 1960s - Muscle Car Masters.
Muscle Car Masters is a celebration of Australia's rich motoring heritage and a tribute to the drivers who raced.

Eastern Creek to host Eight Hour race

Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway has been inundated with interested entrants for its first-ever eight hour endurance race. Strong interest in the race has seen the event moved from November 20 to December 11, allowing competitors committed to other racing events time to prepare for the showroom showdown.

Radical Offers Unique Motorsport Experience

Radical Australia has become the first motorsport marque in Australia to establish permanent facilities for its cars and drivers at a local race track.

Lexus Hybrid Power Leads the Pack

Lexus GS 450h – the world's first volume production performance hybrid sedan – has become Australia's first hybrid pace car. GS 450h will become Eastern Creek Raceway's permanent safety car and was chosen for its outstanding power, acceleration and cruising abilities. Eastern Creek Raceway Chief Executive, Geoff Arnold, said that GS 450h surpasses the requirements for a pace and safety vehicle.

Soundwave Success at Eastern Creek

Approximately 30,000 fans turned out for the Soundwave Festival at Eastern Creek International Raceway on 22 February. "The event went incredibly well, based on the feedback from festival-goers and the promoter," said chief executive Geoff Arnold.

Music Festival to Swell Eastern Creek

Eastern Creek International Raceway (ECIR) has recommenced business as a major outdoor music festival venue. The first event will be the 2009 Soundwave Festival on February 22. A crowd of almost 30,000 is expected at the festival, which is being headlined by American acts Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains and The Bloodhound Gang. Support acts include bands such as Flaming Lips and Tool.

Eastern Creek test for Kawasaki 2009 Ninja ZX-RR

Kawasaki have debuted the new Ninja ZX-RR in a private test with Olivier Jacque at the Australian circuit of Eastern Creek. Former MotoGP competitor Jacque and the experienced Serizawa are working with European and Japanese staff to evaluate the progress that has been made with the Ninja ZX-RR over recent months.

Eastern Creek Racer Days - a fast track to the podium

2009 will see the launch of Eastern Creek Racer Days. The new event is a joint venture between Eastern Creek Ride Days and Californian Superbike School. The Eastern Creek Racer Days program will feature three elements, including the globally renowned Superbike School program American Keith Code began in 1980.

SuperCircuit for Eastern Creek Raceway

Sydney could be in line to host Australia's first permanent motor racing 'supercircuit' equal to the world's best, according to plans released today. A $350,000 feasibility study commissioned by the Australian Racing Drivers Club (ARDC) has outlined opportunities to use Eastern Creek International Raceway as the basis of the world-class development.
